The service for Driscoll Tree Service was outstanding. Michael came out to meet with me, explained the pros and cons of how to deal with my tree removal, and provided a clear quote for the service. The crew that came out to do the work was on-time, professional and did a great job. One of the trees they had to remove was tall and in a spot where they couldn't get any heavy equipment to it, but they were able to take it down in pieces without damaging my landscaping or fence. If you are looking for a professional and competent tree service,  I definitely recommend calling Driscoll Tree Service.

Michael came out to evaluate some trees I had with a questionable fungus on them, and ultimately the course of action was removal for a select few. He got me an estimate for the removal within a matter of days. They had the most competitive prices out of the other estimates I got. Michael is a very knowledgeable Arborist and you can tell he is passionate about his work. He wasn't pushy at all about the removal like some of the other companies I had come out, and he advised me on doing it in "phases" to fit my budget. The actual tree removal and stump grinding itself was so smooth and all the workers that came with the crane and stump service were very professional and communicative about what the process was going to be.

Oak

Oak trees are a great addition to any landscape, providing shade and beauty for many years. But did you know that oaks also offer many other benefits? Here are just a few reasons why oak trees are great for your yard:

  • Oak trees are long-lived, with some species able to live for hundreds of years. This makes them a great investment for your landscape, as they will provide shade and beauty for generations to come.
  • Oaks are also very tolerant of poor growing conditions, making them ideal for areas that are difficult to grow other trees. They're also resistant to many pests and diseases, which helps keep your oak tree healthy for many years.
  • Finally, oak trees can grow quite large, providing significant shading for your yard. This can help reduce summer energy costs by cooling your home naturally.

Tulip Poplar

secondary

There are many reasons why tulip poplar trees are great for shade. They are fast-growing, reaching a height of up to 80 feet in just a few years. They have large, deeply lobed leaves that provide dense shade and turn a beautiful golden yellow in the fall. Tulip poplars are also relatively pest and disease-resistant, making them a low-maintenance choice for shade. When it comes to growing preferences, tulip poplars prefer full sun and moist, well-drained soil. They are adaptable to various soil types but will not tolerate wet, boggy conditions. For best results, plant tulip poplars in an area that receives at least six hours of direct sunlight daily. Once established, they are relatively drought-tolerant and will not need supplemental irrigation unless conditions are extremely dry. With their fast growth rate and ability to thrive in a variety of conditions, tulip poplar trees make an excellent choice for those looking for an attractive shade tree and are sure to add significant value to your home.

Gingko

Gingko trees are fast-growing and can reach 40 to 50 feet, making them an ideal option for shading a house or patio. Ginkgo also has a deep root system that helps stabilize the soil and prevent erosion. In addition, their leaves turn a beautiful yellow color in the fall, adding an extra touch of color to the landscape. Gingkos prefer full sun but can tolerate partial shade. They are also relatively drought-tolerant once they are established. Given their many benefits, it's no wonder that ginkgo trees are such a popular choice for landscaping.
