The service for Driscoll Tree Service was outstanding. Michael came out to meet with me, explained the pros and cons of how to deal with my tree removal, and provided a clear quote for the service. The crew that came out to do the work was on-time, professional and did a great job. One of the trees they had to remove was tall and in a spot where they couldn't get any heavy equipment to it, but they were able to take it down in pieces without damaging my landscaping or fence. If you are looking for a professional and competent tree service,  I definitely recommend calling Driscoll Tree Service.

Benefits of Healthy Trees for Wildlife

secondary

Did you know that trees, microscopic bacteria, and other organisms work together to contribute to a healthy ecosystem? This is referred to as biodiversity. A professional tree care company can provide exceptional services, promoting pollination, ensuring a balanced food chain, and supporting the decomposition process. Now that you know the importance of biodiversity, let’s delve into the benefits of healthy trees for wildlife to help you make informed decisions.

Source of Food

While trees add beauty and value to your property, they also provide food for many animals. Well-maintained trees produce more nuts, flowers, and fruits for animals like birds and squirrels. Healthy trees also support insect populations as they feed on the leaves and bark. In turn, insects provide food for birds, toads, bats, and more.

Scheduling regular care with a trusted tree service provider can ensure your trees are bountiful year-round, providing sustenance to wildlife. Certified arborists can devise a maintenance routine that entails trimming, pruning, pest and disease management, and health checks. This results in more fruits, leaves, and nuts for animals. Not to mention it minimizes the risk of infestations, infections, and tree removal emergencies.

Strong and Stable Shelter

As stated, trees provide habitats for many different species. Dense foliage and trunk cavities provide suitable environments for nesting and hiding from predators. By hiring a reputable tree care company to provide regular maintenance services, you gain peace of mind knowing your trees are sturdy and healthy. Professional arborists can recommend practices like bracing, pruning, and crown restoration to promote strong limbs that shelter local wildlife. This also goes a long way to reduce the likelihood of diseased or weak branches that destroy nests and harm animals.

Breeding Environments

Trees are important breeding grounds for different animals. Birds are the most common, building nests on high branches to raise their young safely away from predators. Without proper care, trees can’t provide the right conditions for animals to breed and raise their young, affecting the local biodiversity. Fortunately, tree service providers offer pruning, inspections, pest management, and other maintenance services to keep your trees suitable for wildlife.

Reduce Runoff and Soil Erosion

Healthy trees have vast root systems that hold the soil together and reduce runoff. This contributes to protecting our waterways and wildlife. In addition, dense canopies slow rainfall, allowing water to seep into the soil rather than rush off with the top layer and other pollutants into streams and rivers. It is crucial to invest in proper tree care, keeping your trees healthy and performing their roles effectively. If you live near water bodies, caring for your trees can promote healthier ecosystems.
